Daniel is the founder of the Bat Conservation Research Unit (BatCRU) which carries out a number of research projects and runs advanced bat survey training courses. He regularly uses his expertise to assist on research with universities and bat conservation charities.

Annika is a trustee of the Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) and was the founder of Annyctalus Ecology, a non-profit organisation registered in Jersey between 2016 and 2024 which undertook bat research and carried out training across the Channel Islands. Annyctalus Ecology was dissolved in 2024 after all the committee members left the Channel Islands.
